Please let me know if you would be interested in the position below. *Title: Python Developer* *Primary Location: Madison, Wisconsin* *Duration: Contract Position* *Job Description:* *Specific Responsibilities:* The successful candidate will be responsible for at least one of the following. There is no expectation that a candidate will be capable of fulfilling all of these roles, but candidates who demonstrate capabilities in multiple areas will be preferred. - Develop new applications using Python and the Django framework. - Support existing applications using Python and the Django framework. *Required Qualifications - Technical:* - Python - Experience in SQL (Oracle SQL, PL/SQL) - Working knowledge of basic Linux/UNIX commands *Desired Qualifications - Technical: * There is no expectation that a candidate will have experience in all of these areas, but demonstrated experience in these areas will be used in ranking candidates. - Proficient with Linux / Unix - Proficient with Python 2.x or 3.x - Familiarity with Django 1.x or Flask - Familiarity with Subversion/GIT - Familiarity with RESTful web services - Familiarity with Couchbase or other NoSQL technologies - Familiarity with Proficient in SQL (Oracle SQL, MySQL SQL, PL/SQL, and Data Modeling a plus) - Familiarity with Documentation Tools, Visio, Word. Code Documentation skills, examples a plus. - Familiarity with Design Patterns *Qualifications Non-Technical:* - Ability to learn and adapt to a fast paced changing, and challenging environment. - Good project and time management skills. - Excellent communication skills both written and verbal. - Candidates should be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure when necessary, especially when recovering from system failure or strict timelines.
