Looking for someone who has experience with the AB Initio platform and/or
portfolio of products not just the ETL piece.  While ETL is a big piece of
AB Initio it is just a portion of the

overall product suite.

Ab Initio is a Business Intelligence platform comprised of six data
processing products: Co>Operating System, The Component Library, Graphical
Development Environment, Enterprise

Meta>Environment, Data Profiler, and Conduct>It. It is a powerful GUI-based
parallel processing tool for ETL data management and analysis.

I am in need of a contractor to help my Client with upgrading their Ab
Initio environment.

Experience on complex transformation using Abinitio.
•Experience working with various Abinitio components.
•Experience with various Ab Initio parallelism techniques
•Strong Analysis skills.

They need a very strong communicator, someone who has some leadership
skills and has extensive experience collaborating/leading teams.
Technically they need someone with strong development skills, some
administration skills and an understanding of the AB Initio architecture.

Sr Java Developer skills/ requirements needed to support Applications:

•Expert in distributed systems application development and current
technologies.
•Significant Cloud/PaaS/SaaS Development Experience.
•Expert with Java 1.8, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, API’s, Maas,
Angular, Android, AppDynamics, Oracle, Redis.
•Excellent coding and documentation practices, etc.

•Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (CI/CD) using

 Position: Lead Software Engineer - .Net / DevOps
[DevOps, .Net/C#, Restful API, Oracle/SQL, PING, Architecture]
Locations: Miamisburg Ohio or Jacksonville Fla.
Duration: 6 months+
Additional experience required.
-Architectural/ design patterns (mocking / SOLID) -  firm grasp of
object-oriented design principals
-Dependency Injection – creating code for objects that interact with other
objects

This is a .Net development position with restful API development services
-This resource will see not only development, but architectural type work
as well so really needing experience with both

Overall “project” is more perpetual work/business as usual
-It is for the home lending enterprise of the bank
-There is standing up new architecture on the .Net side, and are pivoting
from IIB to .Net, but there is no start and end date to this
os It is mostly just backlog of work

The resource needs experience in previously working in a leadership role
-This particular one will not be a role with like direct HR reports, but
they will be helping lead the team
-They will need to use previous experience and their maturity with a lot of
technologies to help design new solutions, create better practices, how to
revise codes, etc.
-This team does not have the experience with this .net – so they will have
to step up and really start helping bring them up to speed

The bank is expanding and evolving into MongoDB and Kafka
-Both technologies are used for proof on concepts
-These are in the infancy stages for the whole bank, but not for the rest
of the world. If you run across potential candidates with this type of
experience in that space, that is a huge

plus.

Moving towards DevOps for production
-Another skillset they are looking for

Agile space
-Someone with experience in agile is a plus, but this is easy to adapt to.
The HM is not worried or thinks it is a reason to look the other way if
they do not have this.

The current team has 6 people right now
-They handle authentication internally within Client
 oOnline banking calls this team/application, asks for mortgage data in
real time, they take care of the process.
-Split between full time and contractors. They are looking for the right
candidate to flip over and convert into a FTE
-The team is flexible with hours as well as working from home on occasion
with business casual attire.


Locations are set for Miamisburg OH or Jacksonville, FL
-This is where the staff is split between
-It can be negotiable if they cannot find the right talent after all

-Will conduct research and identify solutions that are in the industry
already
oThey do not want to “guess”, they want to follow industry practices, so
they need the leadership skills to direct where to go not just creating
custom solutions
-Create visualizations
-The team is wanting someone with more configuration experience within
ServiceNow and move away from only customizations and can help teach the
team

Understands the lifecycle methodology within ServiceNow
-From ideas to implementation to releasing products to the platform and
everything in between
-Will work closely with developers to learn and also build requirements
into solutions

Hard skills around development tools that are built into ServiceNow
-Java, XML, SQL, Web Service Integrations (REST and Json)
-They need a solid understanding how to develop to get the best solution
for the end user, as well as the overall technical aspects of ServiceNow

They want someone who has been working as a BA versus a developer
-Can grow into a developer role as their career progresses in the team, but
right now needs the BA role
-Understanding development skills around the specific knowledge points will
help them try different outcomes (that could already be an industry
practice or already apart of

ServiceNow) instead of just customizing whatever the customer is coming to
them with issues with

They need to have very strong soft skills

They need a senior experienced individual to join their team
-This team has projects that range in numbers from 40-60 a year
-Primary skills are Cobol (Mainframe) and Informatica- Hadoop is a HUGE
nice to have
 oCan bring in extensive experience in mainframe world, and has been in the
Cobol programming world for a long time (over all skills and hands on
experience)

Legacy algorithms
-They have around 50+ in the mainframe. New changes with new data warrants
the team to go in update these algorithms with unit testing and different
types of testing.
-The resource needs not only the ability/ knowledge, but patience to start
looking at these old programs, engage their expertise to make any necessary
updates resulting to benefit

whatever project is being worked on – these algorithms are impacted for 95%
of the projects
-Also, any integration warrants changes on all the platforms – including
these algorithms
-Please try to screen candidates on the soft skills of patience

Existing team members can offer mentorship till completely onboarded
-The manager has the dependency for a current contractor leaving that works
with all of these algorithms. They want enough time to work together to
have knowledge transfer.
-Once they are comfortable will take ownership and will take responsibility
of these algorithms

They want an individual can work on different platforms
-Mainframe can work on mainframe, if on distributed side and work on
informatica, if it is Hadoop/Big Data platform side, etc
-Getting someone with all these skills is a challenge – he/she does not
have Hadoop that is fine, but mainframe is most important then secondly
informatica

Expectations are:
-In depth knowledge/SME with Cobol
 oInclude JCL, VSAM, PROC, PARM, PARMNDM, ENDEVOR, CA7, TSO, etc
-Can “manage the risk”
-Experience in customer focus areas
 oCan cater to different lines of businesses – interact with them, building
and keeping a working relationship with internal customers
-Well versed in the development life cycle
-Ability to work on packaged applications
-Not only create solutions, but can take that extension to the distributed
platform

-It is okay if the resource do not have specifically troubleshooting
experience, but 100% needs the troubleshooting experience on the Cobol side
