Our platform runs on a microservice architecture with the backend APIs
developed primarily in Ruby, and the frontend running on Angular. We are
constantly improving how we provide automations to simplify support needs.
We’ve got a team of engineers with varying levels of seniority and
interests within the project. We are looking for passionate developers of
all levels to help to accelerate the empowerment of Best Buy developers.

*Position Summary/Job Description:*
An ideal candidate participates in the creation and presentation of
technical designs.
They will lead in the delivery of complex solutions.
They demonstrate creativity and takes initiative in solving complex
problems.
They are able to fill in holes in product direction and take the
appropriate action within their team.
Aware of the technology landscape, they plan delivery of coarse-grained
business needs spanning multiple applications.
This candidate sets a consistent example of agile development practices and
coaches other engineers to work as a team with Product and UX.

*How much time will the resource spend pair programming?*
10-75% according to the stories and personal preference.

5+ years Ruby application development experience.
Codes larger features from start to finish.

Improves knowledge and understanding of core concepts of engineering.
Be a mentor for the personal and peer growth.

Helps in bringing the team together as a whole.
Participates in and leads production support situations.
Teaches best practices and context to internal developers.

*Interview Process Overview:*
A 30 minute behavioral interview for first round candidates followed by a
60 minute technical interview for second round candidates. Both rounds on
MS Teams with video and voice calling required
