*Position Summary/Job Description:*
At times the candidate will work on algorithm updates for feedback loops
using GCP Dataflow, on enhancing search relevancy, adding complex filtering
capabilities to BestBuy.com, or managing product data ingestion.

*Skills Overview:*
*What are the top five skills and number of years of experience required to
perform this job?*
•        At least 11 years of relevant systems software engineering
experience and a BS/MS in computer science, engineering, or mathematics (or
equivalent professional experience).
•        At least 5 years of experience with Spring or Spring Boot
•        At least 5 years of experience working with Relational Databases
and JPA
•        At least 3 years of experience with REST
•        At least 2 years of experience building high-performance,
highly-available and scalable distributed systems.

*What are some preferred/nice to have skills the manager is looking for?*
•        Experience using container technologies, Docker/Podman/K8 preferred
•        Experience with messaging, Kafka, RabbitMQ, Google PubSub preferred
•        Experience with search engines, Apache Solr preferred
•        Experience with NoSQL, Cassandra, BigTable preferred
•        Experience with data streaming frameworks, Apache Beam, Akka
Streams preferred
•        Experience with writing complex automation and/or integration tests
•        Experience with SQL, BigQuery preferred
•        Ability to refactor
•        Keen understanding of multi-threading and concurrency in Java
•        Experience with Agile
