Please forward the resumes to [email protected] * * *Position: Sr.Websphere Administrator Location: Naperville, IL (Chicagoland) Duration: 6 months+ Start date: ASAP* *Responsibilities:* Responsible for administration, maintenance, availability and regular operations of Java based WebSphere infrastructure running on Solaris and Windows based operating systems. *Requirements:* - *Solaris 8 through 10 (Solaris 8 on SPARC and 10 on x86)* and Windows Server 2003/2008 administration or engineering experience - WebSphere administration experience - *WebSphere 6.0 (Network Deployment Edition)* or higher. Installation and configuration knowledge is a must. Install and config on Solaris and Windows is preferred. - Must understand the various standard deployment topologies and how the various cells, nodes, and application servers can be set up in these topologies as documented by IBM. - Set up and tune connection pools as JNDI resources. - Deploy applications via *WAR or EAR packaging. * - Should have knowledge of where the logs get written and how to interpret them. - Configuring thread pools and the WebSphere Work Manager - IBM HTTP Server and/or Apache HTTP Server knowledge and configuration of the HTTP plugin to use either of these Web Servers is required - Some Java 5 experience is very helpful as tuning and running WebSphere itself requires some knowledge of how the JVM works - Understands python or tcl for IBM's WebSphere scripting tools - Has had experience creating WebSphere heap dumps for use in performance tuning and memory leak analysis - Has had experience setting up and using the WebSphere performance monitoring tools.
