This individual will design and build complex web-based systems used by Goldman Sachs sales people and clients. *DEPARTMENT OVERVIEW:* The Portal Framework team designs and develops web solutions for use both by Goldman Sachs employees and clients. The team supports and extends two major GS web sites. First is Sales Insight, our sales-facing web portal and the second is GS360, our client-facing web portal. Both sites are built upon the same Portal framework which is built, maintained, and extended by the Portal framework team. *RESPONSIBILITIES:* The Portal framework is written in Java, and uses many web-based technologies including Tomcat, Apache, JavaScript and AJAX. The Portal platform uses ExtJS as its primary JavaScript library, and custom Java components for streaming data from server to browser. A successful candidate will be able to build custom and generic JavaScript components extending the ExtJS product, and implement dynamic, rich and interactive components using the Portal AJAX framework.
