Knows NetApp - well experienced with their Best Practices 2. Knows NFS - COLD!, VMware and either Oracle or Exchange with the preference being Oracle 3. Credible with the ability to act as an authority on best practices in a trusted advisor role 4. This individual must live in the Memphis metro area or willing to relocate, at their own expense 5. NetApp experience a plus. Experience with a major storage vendor an absolute. 6. Personable, works well with the client - but comfortable doing break fix. 7. Team player. 8. Highly consultative person with experience in Netapp environment; EMC a huge Plus. 9. VMware expertise 10.Strong knowledge of IP Networking with NFS protocol 11.Rates to include living expenses (if the candidate is based outside of the Memphis area), and commuting expense to and from Memphis. 12.Candidate must be equipped, at your expense, with a laptop that is configured with the Microsoft Office Suite and ample memory/storage for proprietary software. The laptop must also have an “aircard” and related service. 13.The candidate must also have, at your expense, a smartphone capable (with service) to send and receive e-mail. Heritage will not reimburse from related services. ============================================================== *Sybase/SQL Server DBA (Locals Only) * Location: Jersey City, NJ Rate: OPEN (please give me a fair daily rate for each candidate) Duration: 6 months Looking for a consultant to help us upgrade our Sybase servers from ASE 12.5 to ASE 15.0. The candidate needs to be very strong with Sybase and know SQL server, The lenght of assigment will be about 6 months. The candidate will be expected to: 1. Perform Production Migrations to Sybase and SQL Server 2. Production support of Sybase and SQL Server. 3. Perform Adhoc requests for sybase and sql server 4. Performance and tuning of sybase at both server and query level 5. Performance and tuning of sql server at both server and query level 6. Trouble shoot and resolve performance issues with ASE 15.0, ASE 12.5.X. The candidate must posses the following skill sets: Significant production experience with Sybase ASE 12.5 Experience with SQL 2005, SQL 2000 Ability to work independently and in a group Ability and willingness to support 24 X7 production support for Sybase and SQL Server. Knowledge and experience with Sybase replication server. The replication experience with replication server uses routes. Very good performance and tuning skills with Sybase. Both at server level and query level. Ability to trouble shoot slowness at server level and query level. Experience with performance and tuning sql server both at server level and query level. Good communication skills Ability to think outside of the box Financial services experience Ability and willingness to work long hours and weekends.
