Location : Indianapolis, IN
Rate : $55/hr
Duration: Long Term
Skills: 5+ years of DBA experience in Oracle 9i, 10g, or 11g and Microsoft
SQL Server 2005 and 2008. 10+ years of experience in Database Technologies.
5+ years experience with UNIX, Linux and Windows.
Required Skill Set(s) and Years of Experience (please include technologies
and skills as well as years of experience required):
* 10+ years of experience in Database Technologies
* 5+ years of DBA experience in Oracle 9i, 10g, or 11g and Microsoft SQL
Server 2005 and 2008.
* 5+ years experience with Unix, Linux and Windows.
* Knowledge of Database modeling and design concepts at the physical,
logical, and conceptual levels.
* Knowledge with technical process improvement and guidance
* Demonstrated ability to implement and manage database architectural
reviews and roadmaps
* Experience with Oracle and/or SQL Server command prompts (Client does not
use Oracle Enterprise Manager)
* Demonstrated experience with T-SQL and PL/SQL
* Ability to write, modify and explain Unix K Shell and Perl scripts
* vi Editor knowledge
* Database Server monitoring and tuning
* Fluid understanding of Database Backup and Recovery methodologies for
Oracle including DataGuard, Netbackup and RMAN
* Experience in production-support DBA role
* Manage and maintain Knowledge Management System (KMS)

* Must demonstrate the ability to manage a client relationship in a
proactive manner with a focus on continuous improvement and optimization.
* Knowledge of Project Management Methodologies
* Ability to clearly communicate both written and orally in the English
language.
* Solid Interpersonal and communication skills

in adverse situations.

client.
* Follows up with questions to ensure there are no gaps in communication.
* Demonstrates tact when taking the best approach to sensitive situations.
