Position: PeopleSoft Developer

*Job Description*

• Peoplesoft HRIS 8.x or 9.x,

• Peoplesoft SQR

• Knowledge and experience in Application Engine, Component Interface,
Crystal Reports and Peoplesoft Integration Broker.

• Database Knowledge and experience – Oracle 11. DB2 8. SQL Server 7, MySql,


• Other ERP solutions, SQL, XML, Java J2EE, XSLT, VB, ASP, HTML, UML, Linux,
Unix, ADP, ADP Connection, Resource Scheduling Tools, ClearQuest, and
ClearCase are all pluses.

• Knowledge of HR business functions preferred

• Ability to identify and understand business problems and opportunities

• Understanding of Object-Oriented Analysis & Design principles, techniques
and languages

• Ability to demonstrate effective written and verbal communication skills
in both technical and non-technical terms

• Strong analytical skills, diagnostic and problem-solving skills

• Ability to foster a positive work environment by promoting teamwork, open
communication, and corporate culture

• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks while maintaining deadlines

• Knowledge and experience working in Agile Methodology preferred.

• Provide consulting expertise in this client's enhancements to PS HRMS 9.0.


• Provide setup, customization and knowledge transfer in Core HR,
ePerformance, Job Profile Management, and Self-Service.

SQL and AGile wanted

• Full position Management based model. Add additional Manager Self Service
functionality and customize existing employee Self-Service. Data from PSHR
is sent via custom application messaging to feed downstream systems (via
Tibco) to provide real-time updates to Security, provisioning, Facilities,
etc. All workflow based self-service is using the Newer Graphical AWE model
with conditional approvals based on the transaction criteria and the
position level within the organization.

• Application Package/Component PeopleCode, Application Engine, Workflow
customization, SQR and SQL programming. Environment is Oracle 10g, Redhat
Linux and Windows Server 2003.



*Project Details *

• ePerformance Improvements for Exempt Employees - These new system
requirements are based on end user feedback and experience with the
ePerformance system to complete the exempt common review date. Currently
there are 44 enhancement requests and stories identified to further improve
the Exempt PEDP screens and process

• ePerformance for Non-Exempt Employees - Creation of on line goals and
review process for all QVC Non Exempt Employees, using PeopleSoft
ePerformance module.

o Nonexempt Blueprint is designed to help nonexempt employees be more
effective in their current role with clearly defined organization
guidelines.

o All enhancements were based on feedback from nonexempt team members and
supervisors. The end result is a performance system that refreshes our
nonexempt performance management philosophy, tool and process.

o Nonexempt Blueprint will advance the QVC agenda and builds a high
performance culture at all QVC locations.

o Nonexempt Blueprint with revised rating system and format effective June
1, 2010.

o All forms to be available to all employees on April 1, via myHR,
myPerformance. All nonexempt reviews scheduled for January through May -
current form will be used.



• Manager Self Service (MSS)/Employee Self Service (ESS) New Functionality
and Rollout - This work has been described as “Phase 2” development and
launch of Manager Self Service. In the fall of 2009, we launched many, but
not all planned MSS functionality; and only enabled it for HR and IT. This
second phase will complete all outstanding development work and launch the
system to the rest of QVC.

o MSS Contractor POI - ability to add contractors

o MSS Offer Letter w/Workflow Approval

o MSS Delegation - Confirm delivered vs. select from span of control

o MSS Contractor/POI - (clone & adjust Job Req Creation - New Position)

o MSS Approval Console - Changes to Fields & Field Names

o Portal Pg Default for Managers to myTeam tab w/login

o PS to PC Outbound Interface

o PC to PS Inbound Interface

o MSS Offer Letter w/Workflow Approval

o MSS Termination - Select Multiple Employees w/same date

o MSS Delegation - Confirm delivered vs. select entire span

o MSS Transfer Pg Edit against Salary Grade (= or <)

is a global factor-based approach, allowing for fast, reliable and
consistent measurement of positions’ size and value to an organization
across job families, within any type of organization, anywhere in the world.
This will be used for market pricing of our positions.

o Setup “non-person profiles” in PeopleSoft for all of our job codes

o Install and configure Mercer IPE System

o The profiles will need to be created based on the design requirements from
the IPE system.
