Job Description:
The storage environment consists of 3 EMC CX700s, 1 EMC CX3-80, and a EMC
CX4-960. They provide the bulk of the storage for the Wilmington Data
Center, consisting of a variety of Sun hardware running primarily Solaris
and Windows both at a block level and through a EMC Celerra infrastructure.
Virtualization technologies in use include Solaris zones and Microsoft
Hyper-V. The backup environment is built around EMC Legato and an EMC EDL.
Remote data centers have EMC storage and use a Veritas NetBackup environment
for data protection.
Description of tasks:
Assist storage team in the physical preparation of the datacenter for adding
storage arrays to the datacenter in early July.
Additionally the individual will assist with other storage administration
duties such as zoning new servers and allocating storage under direction of
Sr. Storage Engineer.
3-5 years of SAN Storage Experience
Fiber Channel Hardware – Switch and Fiber Cable, Brocade 48000 Director
Class Switches
Cable Management Skills
EMC Clarion Experience – CX3-80 and CX700 and related EMC management tools.
