Job description:
Looking for a Consultant that has hands on experience with the full WebLogic
product suite - Server, Portal, AquaLogic (ALSB), BPM.
Must have hands-on production support experience with all of the products in
the suite.
Have multiple installations and our footprint is quite big so we run
multiple versions of the different components of the product suite above.
Look for someone that has a variety of experiences that has done fresh
installations, tuning, deployments and general trouble-shooting. Someone
that can hit the ground running and that will be on-call at times.
Communication skills are also important. Our group is responsible for the
architecture, design, development and operation of the BEA WebLogic system.
The ideal candidate must have the right combination of technical experience
as well as experience working with business clients to understand and
translate complex business requirements into technical solutions.
You will be working in a fast paced environment where change is a standard,
and you will develop change management processes to ensure that all products
are tested and certified in a consistent manner.
Key Criteria:
Provide 24x7 enterprise support role for WebLogic 8.1, 9.2, and 10gR3
Server, Integration and Portal , AquaLogic Service Bus 2.1 and OBPM 10gR3
with substantial knowledge and experience to include deployments, tuning,
maintenance, capacity planning, and upgrades. Develop and maintain
configuration manuals, procedure manuals and standards for WebLogic
Operations.
Technical Skills:
BS degree in Computer Science or Engineering
5 to 7 years technical background and 3+ years experience as a Systems
Administrator of BEA Weblogic Server (version 8.1 - SP5 and higher, 9.2 -
MP1 and higher, and 10), WebLogic Platform, AquaLogic, in a Solaris, AIX and
Linux environment.
Performance tuning and capacity planning.
Security and certificate management (SSL)
An overall understanding of multi-tier web architecture with strong
knowledge of J2EE technology, web services, and BEA platform
Work with large scale application deployment involving multiple clusters.
Experience with solutions for load balancing, caching and accelerators
Programming experience in client/server technologies and/or Web
technologies.
Good oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to work both as an individual contributor and in a team
environment.
