DBA DB2 Administrator with extensive experience in AIX environment and Data
Partitioning Feature or DPF
Qualifications
• Minimum 5 years of experience required
• The successful candidate will have 4 or more years experience with DB2
with DPF on AIX
• Preferably with exposure to Data Warehousing and DB2 Version 9.7
• Also required is a good working knowledge of UNIX and experience with
writing shell scripts and PERL.
• Must be expert with DB2 Enterprise Edition
o DPF
o High Availability Disaster Recovery, HACMP, HADR and Log Shipping
o DB2 Workload Manager
o DB2 Storage Optimization
o MDC
o STMM
o Performance Tuning at all levels (sub-system, Database, SQL).
o The more modules list above the candidate has the better.
• Strong analytical, problem solving, organizational, and planning skills.
• Performance Tuning and DBA administration. Disk I/O optimization
techniques using SAN and RAID technologies, networking, business continuity
planning.
• SAP a huge plus
o Candidate should have working knowledge of SAP environment. DBA Cockpit
Tool
o Excellent know-how in monitoring and tuning in SAP ECC and BI/BW
landscapes
• This job requires 7 by 24 on call support.
• Excellent Communication Skills
• Understanding of Data Domain Environment
• EMC Disk Management Skills a plus
• Net backup skills
