Applicants should have 5 - 8+ years mainframe-programming experience using
MVS TSO, COBOL, JCL, VSAM, DB2, Easytreive, Endeavor, CA7, and Fileaid.
Job Description:
Contractor will be responsible for doing analysis, technical design, coding,
testing, implementing and supporting the required software changes. Must be
able to work independently and as part of a team alongside other
programmers, business analysts, and QA testers. Must be able to interact
directly with the client and other business partners.
Required Skills:
The individual in this position must be experienced in programming in a
mainframe environment, as per the above.
Success Factors:
+The candidate should be able to work with minimal supervision.
+ Must be self-reliant, self-starting and willing to involve corporate staff
when needed
+ Must be organized, meticulous about coding and visual/interface design
standards
+ Must have good communications skills and be able to relate technical
issues to non-technical staff
+ Must have strong organizational and analytical skills as well as practical
problem-solving and decision-skills
