Software Engineer (C++, ATL/COM) - Level II-30119
Primary Responsibilities
•Design, develop, and maintain both core business object and data access
layer components
•Write detail unit test plans associated with the design of software
components
•Develop technical documentation based on analysis of business and systems
requirements
•Publishes clear, concise and thorough design documentation
•Works with guidance on complex assignments
•Adheres to project timelines, delivering projects on time and on budget
•Participates in formal reviews of designs, and code
•Provide secondary level support for software releases into production
environments
•Resolve technical issues associated with developed software components
•Fosters teamwork and collaboration across a global development team,
project teams, and business and systems partners
Qualifications
Education and Experience
•BS or advanced degree in Computer Science
•Knowledge of the Financial Services industry a plus
•3+ years of C++ development experience with exposure in the following
areas:
•Experience developing software utilizing OOA, OOD, and OOP principles
•Experience developing software utilizing relational databases (SQL Server
and Sybase)
Desired Experience
•Experience developing software components with C#, ASP.NET, .NET Framework
•Experience developing software applications with Visual Studio IDE
Skills and Knowledge
•Thorough understanding of the software development process
•Ability to quickly learn new concepts and technologies
•Detail oriented coupled with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
•Strong organizational skills coupled with effective written and verbal
communication skills
•Must be an organized self-starter with a collaborative work style, and the
ability to multi-task.
