General Responsibilities:
• Configure and manage storage on NetApp 3xxx filers and EMC Clariion CX4
• Competent with OnTap 7.x (NetApp) for allocating, configuring, and
troubleshooting storage issues
• Competent with Navisphere and Unisphere (EMC) for allocating, configuring,
and troubleshooting storage issues
• Familiar with Brocade SAN switches, zoning configuration, and
troubleshooting
• Familiarity with MPIO and Powerpath
• Ability to attach and partition SAN storage on Linux (RHEL 5) and/or
Windows 2003/2008
• Interact with HP Service Desk/Service Manager for managing workload and
requests
• Willingness to document tasks and procedures
• Knowledge of SAN architecture & Fabric details (EMC, IBM, HDS etc…)
• Performing SAN Zoning
• LUN Management (procedure for creating new LUNS, recovering unused LUNS)
• Administration of Storage management tools (CLI & GUI)
• Patching of firmware on Storage Infrastructure
• Configuring multi-pathing tools
• Performing IMACD activities on storage volumes
• Interact professionally and effectively through verbal and written
communication with all professional contacts with emphasis on company
interests
• Log all activity for assistance utilizing a trouble ticketing system, for
tracking and reporting purposes.
• All infrastructure to be configured is remote (no on-site installations)
