Job Purpose:2nd shift -12-8 pm – Tues.-Sat.
This role will be performing day-to-day duties of a Senior Unix/Linux
Admin, including building the OS, managing App/OS configurations, providing
support to Operations/DEV/QA teams. The role will be responsible for
coordinating daily changes scheduled through Puppet configuration management
tool between 1st & 2nd shift personnel to ensure they’re implemented as
planned and troubleshoot/fix/escalate any issues that may arise.
Experience/skills requirements:
6 years experience as a Senior Unix/Linux Systems Administrator/Engineer
2 years experience with Red Hat Operating System, building/configuring on HP
DLXXX and BLXXX hardware
Experience with Red Hat satellite infrastructure and automation
Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet
Experience with Sun Solaris and HP-UX.
2 years experience as a Windows Administration preferred.
Experience in troubleshooting problems with hardware, operating system and
related software components
Good knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, AD, SAN, n-tier architecture, shell scripting
such as ksh, bash, csh, ssh
Be able to provide second and third level support. Work during off hours as
needed, respond to incidents, provide RCA for problems
Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science is preferred
