Job Description
• Responsible for designing and executing functional test plans and test
scripts. Perform hands-on testing.
• Analyze, design, develop, and execute test data validation strategies for
Data Warehousing solutions
• Capable of writing testing procedures
• Conduct usability tests and make recommendations based on best practices
and standards
• Plan, execute and report performance testing
• Report and communicate on test activities
• Participate in spec reviews and requirements’ definitions in order to
detect measurable requirements for testing (completeness and accuracy)
• Log and track defects through resolution
• Other duties as assigned.
Requirements / Skillset
Proficiency Designing, Developing and Execution testing strategies (Test
Plans and Test Scripts)
Strong experience testing web based applications
Strong experience performing data validation
Proven experience working with Microsoft SQL Server: SQL Management Console
– SQL statements
Experience testing components developed with SSIS, SSAS and SSRS
• MS SQL Reporting Services – SSRS -
• MS SQL OLAP Cubes / Dimensions – SSAS -
• MS SQL ETL processes – SSIS –
Working knowledge of performance testing for web applications
Knowledge of Software Development Life cycle
Experience with Rational Automation Tools: Rational Performance Tester
Experience with SharePoint Portals
General Criteria
Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline, computer science, engineering,
or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in QA
Minimum of 3 years’ experience testing web-based applications
Minimum of 3 years’ experience performing data or reports validation
Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with SQL
Comfortable working with minimum documentation
Ability to work independently and multitasking
Capable of understanding products and processes and break them down into
testing components
Comfortable working with offshore team mates and projects
Responsible and committed to meet deadlines
Structured and organized – Excellent management of time and priorities.
Good sense of organization and planning
Adaptable to changes
Analytical, troubleshooting and problem solving skills
