Job Description:
We are looking for an upper-level developer to help the team out with the
support of current applications in our environment. This position would be
in charge of triaging bugs as they arise and working with the business and
other developers to resolve open issues. There are also many enhancements
that are needed in the existing applications that would be the
responsibility of this person as well. They would need the ability to
gather information from the business, document the change, make the
appropriate code changes, work with the business to test the item and take
care of all aspects of the change control to promote the code to production.
This support crosses many applications and the prime candidate will have a
broad set of development skills. Most of the application support will be
code that needs to be applied to SQL Server databases in either procedures,
views and SSIS packages.
Skills / Tools
SQL Server 2005 - Required (2008 optional) – strong t-SQL
SSIS – Required - Strong
Visual Studio 2005 - required (2008 optional)
VSS - Required
Team Foundation Server - (Preferred)
Enterprise Scheduler Experience - (Preferred) – we use Tidal
Languages
t-SQL
Soft Skills
Comfortable with Interaction with customer
Familiar with larger environments (and subsequent change control processes)
Ability to maintain documentation as needed
