They are looking for someone with a lot of MVC and JQuery experience
This individual will be coming in to supplement a development team that
develops and supports a consumer facing web application used to enter track
and maintain insurance policies. This is a B2C application with hundreds of
users and will continue to grow. This will be both UI and backend work
(50/50 split) and is written in C# 3.5 but will eventually go to 4.0. This
individual needs strong MVC and WCF experience as the framework is based on
MVC and heavy WCF is used for web services. Great communication is KEY
Top 3 Questions:
1. Needs 3.5 experience, do not present anyone without this experience
2. Great communication skills needed, very interactive team
3. Prior experience with MVC framework apps in a web setting-must be a
customer facing app with hundreds of users and strong functionality-i.e. no
mom and pop website development
Job Description:
Requirements
• Completion of Bachelors degree in MIS, CIS, etc. or equivalent experience
• 8+ years of increasingly responsible professional experience in related
field
• 5+ years solid experience with C# development utilizing 3.5 or 4.0
• Must have excellent communication skills – both written and verbal as
this position will require lots of interactions with the business users,
etc
• Senior/Lead experience also required
• Strong knowledge and experience with both MVC and WCF
• Proficient application of tools supporting Object Oriented Analysis and
Design (OOAD)
• Strong knowledge of project management best practice processes and
techniques
• Thorough comprehension of quality assurance and testing procedures,
processes and techniques employed within multi-platform application and
system development cycles
• Full awareness of defined development and systems architecture standards
• Must possess demonstrated leadership, coaching, and mentoring skills in
both one-on-one and group settings
• Extensive experience in multi-platform development principles including
solid understanding of structured and Object Oriented modeling, analysis,
design and programming
• Requires excellent analytical skills and the ability to learn and apply
flexible, open-minded problem solving techniques to highly complex
projects.
• Proficient programming skills in targeted languages and utilities for
both legacy and non-legacy environments
