Please respond back with an updated resume and all inclusive rates to [email protected] *Position: Mainframe DB2 Systems DBA* *Duration: 4-5 month contract * *Location: St. Louis, MO* * * Our client is seeking a DB2 Systems DBA for an upgrade they are doing in their mainframe environment from DB2v8 to DB2v10. * * *Day to Day Responsibilities:* -Work with the z/OS System Programmer to install DB2v10 -Review our client’s existing level of DB2v8 and determine PTFs that must be applied to migrate to DB2v10 -Establish our DB2 databases within the DB2v10 environment -Perform basic DBA testing within the new environment and work with the applications staff in their testing efforts within the new environment -Review all current processes, including cloning, backups and DR procedures, to determine any changes required due to the migration to DB2v10 -Document the parameters established within the new environment * * *Requirements: * - Must have a minimum of 4 years experience as a DB2 DBA in a z/OS environment on a large system IBM mainframe -Experience with DB2 v8, DB2 v9 and/or DB2 v10 in a z/OS environment, DDL, SQL, etc. -Knowledgeable of DB2 Partitioning of DB tables and rotating of those partitions -Experience in DB2 product installation/upgrade/implementation -Experience in database tuning/performance efforts -Experience in logical and physical database design, data analysis and/or system performance management -Experience with DB2 z/OS and experience with Administration Tools from IBM -Experience in DB2 Connect and other Mainframe/Server Data Connectivity Facilities -Experience in TSO/ISPF, COBOL, SQL, ASSM, and/or JCL -Candidate must have ability to effectively communicate in English (written and verbal) Kindly send me resume along with contact details.
