Business Analyst
Mandatory Technical Skills
. Documenting system and functional requirements for both software and
database applications
. Interacting with Stakeholders and Development team to clarify and refine
system requirements
. Maintaining traceability of requirements from start to finish of project
. Ensuring system requirements are clearly documented and meet quality
standards (Unambiguous, Complete, Consistent, Correct, Feasible, Testable,
etc...)
. Driving requirements to a sufficient level to enable the development team
to estimate and implement solutions
. Perform under strict deliverable dates
Desirable Technical Skills
. Experience with Claritas and Spectra applications or other geo-spatial
applications
. Previous Nielsen experience
. Experience writing requirements in Microsoft Excel
. Previous Marketing or Retail industry background
. Previous experience with NPI methodology
. Understanding of BABOK best practices and techniques
. Experience with SharePoint document repository
Mandatory Functional Skills
Desirable Functional Skills
. Travel will be required 4-8 times over a 10 month period
. 5 years of experience as Business Analyst on web platforms
. Proven experience documenting and maintaining requirements on large
software projects (Experience gathering requirements in a cross-functional
environment)
. Experience in a wide variety of requirement gathering techniques
. Experience working in a structured software development life cycle
. Experience working with Product Leadership/Management to define technology
solutions that enable their business objectives.
. Strong communication and problems solving skills required
. Data modeling/profiling experience (2-3 analyst should be very proficient
with this)
