Technical/Functional Skills : Primary Skills - 1. Proficiency in test automation process and test automation tools (i.e, QuickTest Pro, Quality Center/ HP ALM and Sprinter) 2. Proficient knowledge of application architecture 3. Mastery in Microsoft Excel 4. Proficient knowledge of SAP 5. Advanced knowledge of business supporting technologies 6. Leads innovation for tool evaluation, integration, and adoption. 7. Proficiency in knowledge of testing methodologies. 8. Proficiency in IT testing lifecycle 9. Proficiency in VB script development Secondary Skills - 1) Knowledge of Languages : VB.Net, ASP, Java Script, PHP, Action Script, TSL(Test Script Language, SAP Modules), UNIX Shell Scripting, JCL, HTML, SQL Experience Required . The Test Automation Engineer is ability to create key deliverables including but not limited to Test Automation Estimates, Automation Framework, High Level Test Strategy, Detailed Test Plan, Test Status Reports & Traceability Matrix. This position will be responsible for automating existing functional test cases, designed to test various cardinal health applications/products. The automation will be developed using the HP Quick Test Professional (v10.0 or higher, VBScript) automation tool. The automation scripts will be organized and test suites established using the HP Quality Center (v9.2 or higher) application. . This position will also be responsible for executing and maintaining existing automation to support ongoing cardinalhealth projects. This position will be responsible for logging/tracking any defects found in a defect tracking system. This position will be responsible for working with the test case creators to ensure proper understanding of the test cases and their verification points. This position will be responsible for sending status reports communicating the results of their automation executions. Also the resource should have advanced knowledge of test data management, environment management. Roles & Responsibilities : . Understanding the business and system requirements . Creating test scenarios/test cases/test scripts and identifying test data requirements . Familiar with validation testing process including validation test scripts creation & execution. . Executing the test scenarios/test cases/test scripts and reporting the test results . Peform Integration, System, Functional, User Interface Testing, End-End, Back-end & Regression testing . Executing the test scripts using test automation tools and reporting the test results . Familiar with Test Management Tools (i.e HP ALM/Quality Center) and Processess . Familiar with Defect Management process include opening & closing/re-testing the defect. . SQL query generation for back end testing. . Proficient knowledge of automation test framework . Proficient knowledge of test scripts generation using test automation tools (i.e. QTP) . Provide details report on ROI on test automation effort Generic Managerial Skills : . Excellent verbal and written communication skills. . Strong knowledge of IT testing processes & automation framework development . Knowledge of innovation including but not limited to: optimization, defect trend analysis, process improvements . Advanced knowledge of business supporting technologies . Strong knowledge of formal software engineering methodologies, software testing tools . Exposure to the Automation testing framework processes . Proficiency in soft skills including but not limited to: communication, client relationship management, escalation, mentoring, and presentation skills . Proactive team player with the ability to work in global dynamic environments.
