Will be responsible for the following:  Desktop Support

Ø  Accurately testing, identifying, repairing, resolving, end user
technical issues regarding network/desktop/laptop/Server/printer support.

Ø  Break-fix, troubleshoot and resolve software issues; Reimaging
computers/hard drives

Ø  Backing up and restoring user data, settings and associated systems
administration activities

Ø  Assist Service Desk /Remote Desktop Support teams for hands and feet
coordination efforts

Ø  Assist on Incident and Problem management activities

Ø  Taking ownership of issues through to resolution on all appropriate
requests

Ø  Categorize and prioritize end user support requests (Incidents) and
service requests by utilizing ticketing system to track tickets and provide
up-to-date status and information

Ø  Move equipment associated with escalated help desk incidents and service
requests

Ø  Recommends and/or performs upgrades on systems to ensure longevity

Ø  Provide trade show planning and support, setup, test, training,
logistics and maintenance of all required Workstation and peripheral
equipment at the site.

Ø  Adhere to ticket response and resolution SLA’s as agreed upon with the
customer

Ø  Assist on special projects like OS migrations, PC refresh and large
scale PC deployments

Ø  Available for on call support during afterhours as and when necessary.

Ø  Willing to work on 24/7 environment.



*Desired Experience and skillset:*



Ø  At least 2 years hands on experience as desk side/local IT engineer

Ø  Strong Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc)

Ø  Strong Microsoft Operating System installation and troubleshooting skills

Ø  Basic understanding on Windows Server 2003/2008/Linux/Unix OS

Ø  Strong Break / Fix skills Desktops, Workstations, Notebooks and Printers
and Telecom.

Ø  Basic knowledge of MAC OS, lotus Notes, blackberry.

Ø  Hands on troubleshooting of VPN issues

Ø  Basic understanding of Audio/Video equipment and conference room setup

Ø  Imaging/Re-imaging of workstations and laptops

Ø  Must have thorough understanding of Windows domain structure, Active
Directory, Ghost, Terminal Services, remote control support, NTFS and file
level permissions

Ø  Strong Customer service skills

Ø  Ability to provide consistent, excellent customer support to entire
staff, representing a variety of personalities and management levels

Ø  Strong written and verbal communication skills

Ø  Must be detail oriented and self-motivating

Ø  Ability to effectively multitask and to perform with a sense of urgency
for rapid issue resolution.

Ø  Global exposure in large environments would be preferred.

MCSA/MCSE certification would be desirable.
