Please find the requirement currently open. *Datastage Tech Lead* Philadelphia, PA 12-18 months $65/hr Years of Experience 7+ Datastage lead who also has strong communication and database/SQL skills in addition to the below will be a guaranteed winner. Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities • Works independently as an experienced lead DataStage developer with responsibilities for coding, testing as well as in a lead role guiding others with the same responsibilities. * Provides technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies, which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives. * Acts as technical resource to lead Delivery staff in all phases of the development and implementation process. * Prepare estimates for project work. * Oversees the technical direction of design and development to ensure alignment with architecture, business requirements, and industry best practices. * Enforces the utilization of accepted methodology and tools in a disciplined manner, which may include execution of key technical reviews at project gates/milestones. * Maintains cross-functional project plans for each project. * Directs Development Life Cycle. * Manages the Delivery team to the project plan. * Represents the Delivery team at all leadership meetings. * Identifies and communicates issues appropriately. * Ensures that projects are appropriately staffed with appropriate skill sets. * Ensures that all deliverables assigned to team members are completed according to planned dates, and with quality. * Supports and promotes the reuse of assets across the organization. * Ensures analysis and system design in support of multi-business systems integration. - Assist managing the offshore team . Education and Experience • previous healthcare experience (preferred) • Experience with IBM InfoSphere, Ascential, Informatica • A minimum of 7 years of experience providing hands-on leadership for complex ETL delivery initiatives for data warehouses and related applications using industry standard toolsets. * A minimum of 5 years or experience with IBM DataStage version 7.5 or 8.x in a development environment. * Exposure to other toolsets used to deliver ETL solutions is a plus (Informatica, Abinitio, SAS, Oracle, Teradata, etc.) * Prior experience in a development environment that includes some of the following tools and technologies: DB2/UDB version 9.5, AIX, ZEKE scheduler, Clearcase, Clearquest, SQL, DB2 Stored Procedures. * Technical leadership skills. * Excellent communication skills. * Analytical ability. * Prior experience with all phases of system delivery and implementation. * Working knowledge of Industry Systems/Software Engineering processes and techniques. * Experience with Healthcare payer business. * Extensive knowledge of the system development life cycle, the client area's functions and systems, and application program development alternatives. * Ability to work effectively with clients and IT management and staff • Experience working with the offshore team • Speaking Mandarin (a plus) Please respond with *Resume, Rate, Current Location and Phone numbers of the Consultant*.
