*POSITION: Test Automation Engineer * *LOCATION: Portland, OR* *DURATION: 6 +Months* Mandatory: Pure Automation Tester with selenium,QTP, SilkTest, automation scripting and other required skills JOB DESCRIPTION: Summary: The role of Test Engineer – Automation is rapidly responding to the needs of the Test Engineering team specifically on Automated Testing Activities Company wide. Candidates should be able to: Rapidly design, develop and maintain automated test scripts based on Test Requirements and Test Cases under aggressive schedules and Agile environments Utilize and make continuous improvements to Automated Test Framework Analyze results of Automated Tests Report defects to Stakeholders Work closely with Quality Analysts to determine testability of Test Requirements/Cases Provide estimates to Product teams for Test Automation efforts Solve complex Test Automation challenges involving Graphical and non-Graphical User Interfaces Help establish and contribute to testing methodologies, standards, and procedures Reports to Manager, Test Engineering, Quality Services. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: · Responsible for prevention and early detection of defects through verification and validation activities ensuring the integrity and quality of all work products (e.g., software and documentation) · Work as part of large, multi-cultural Automated testing efforts · Participate in Test Automation planning · Execution of tests and/or verification that tests and artifacts have been completed · Defect reporting and tracking · Management reporting of status · Contribute to metrics reporting as individual contributor · Provide input to establishment/maintenance/improvement of methodologies, templates, process/procedure as appropriate · Predict potential risks and identifies steps to minimize the impact of risks across area of responsibility · Establish and maintain test data as required for area of responsibility · Accountable for consistent output of quality testing artifacts and testing services; adherence to quality methodologies · Act as Test Engineer on high level for large/complex functional applications, as assigned · Analysis of test requirements to ensure ability to automate tests; reporting of gaps/discrepancies Qualifications: · Solid Understanding of QA principles, processes, and methodologies · Experience and understanding of the software development lifecycle · Experience in Test Engineering teams for large, multi-million dollar projects · Use of a variety of testing tools preferred; Test Automation suites · Experience coordinating automated test efforts · Ability to work side-by-side with Development and Infrastructure teams · Ability to generate reports based on audience, from Executive Management to Development Engineer · Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills · Understanding of coding, networks, operations, and infrastructures Education and/or Experience: · A bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience · At least 5 years of Test Automation experience · Experience with the following: Selenium, QuickTest Pro/Unified Functional Testing, WinRunner, TestComplete · Experience with global testing organizations · Strong experience with HTML/AJAX based applications · Test Plan and Test Case development · Programming experience such as VBScript, Perl, Python or similar scripting language · Additional programming skills desired (i.e. C#, Java, JavaScript, etc) · Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking technology · Must be comfortable working with all Windows OS · SQL Server 2008 with SQL and Analytics · Agile test technique, particularly iterative or SCRUM environments · Knowledge of SQL and databases; ability to use complex SQL structures to mine for information · Previous experience working in SOA environment · Preferred experience with HP Quality Center, extra consideration given to candidates with HP Quality Center Administration experience · Experience with TIBCO Active Matrix, TIBCO Business Event preferred · Previous experience working in the logistics and/or freight forwarding industry preferred · Knowledge of Firefox extension Firebug use preferred · Preferred experience with SilkTest, Selenium, Robot or other automated testing tools · VMWare Desktop experience, ESX or VSphere experience preferred -- Thanks & Regards.
