POSITION : Project Manager Data Migration
LOCATION : Spring Grove, PA
DURATION: 6 Months
Experience in Quest is mandatory
The Project Manager will contribute to a major enterprise program with a
specific focus on applications. This individual will apply standard
project development methodologies in the delivery of projects.
Duties & Responsibilities
IT Project Manager for application projects supporting the global data
center program.
Works in partnership with application managers to design, develop and
implement the changes required to support the consolidation of existing
datacenters. Coordinates IT and business resources to successfully execute
projects. Manages IT resource plans for the project, including internal
and external resources.
3 major transformations include: migration of AD user accounts, file server
migration affecting external files read/written by applications,
application datacenter relocation including P2V.
Develops project plans, execution plans, and implementation plans to ensure
benefits are realized. Manages project timeline, dependencies and
resources in coordination with global IT and business teams.
Provides updates and facilitates key decision making with executive
stakeholders and the project steering committee. Provides project updates
and communications to project team and stakeholders. Develops and monitors
metrics and Key Performance Indicators to track progress against targets.
Ensures the design and proactive monitoring of compliance and controls in
IT solutions. Manages project scope and change control processes.
Contributes to an environment of continuous improvement.
Manages and mitigates IT project issues and risks.
Requirements
o Experience - 5-7 years project management experience required; 8-10
years IT or related experience in various applications and technical
positions.
o Track record of effective project leadership in a complex, matricial
project structure.
o Superb planning skills, reconciling technical and resource
dependencies; optimizing timeline and cost.
o Hands-on expertise with Microsoft Project 2010.
o Experience of operating in a lean environment with challenging resource
constraint.
o Enterprise application experience desired (ERP/SAP, MES).
o PMP preferred.
