*Location : Fort Wayne , Indiana , Allen , TX* *Duration : 12 Months* *Interview : Telephonic + Skype * *REQUIRED: Windows Server 2008/2012 troubleshooting and build knowledge, VMware, & Networking**.* *Need Only GC & CITIZEN'S .....* *Job Summary: * Responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining operating system servers, including web servers, in support of business processing requirements. Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Monitors and tunes the system to achieve optimum performance levels. Essential Duties & Responsibilities: Actively works network-related trouble tickets, monitoring ticket queue, and properly escalating to engineers when appropriate. Schedules installations and upgrades and maintains Windows servers and related infrastructure systems in accordance with established IT policies and procedures. Implements stated Infrastructure strategies for systems infrastructure using current and emerging technologies. Troubleshoots system problems and maintains knowledge and competency in related Microsoft technologies. Monitors system performance, performs system tuning, and proactively assesses systems infrastructure for improvement to achieve optimum performance levels. As directed, recommends and implements systems design modifications as part of project completion to ensure compliance. Researches reviews and provides recommendations to management relative to vendor-supplied software packages to support stated team goals and project requirements. Updates corporate systems diagrams and databases for certain enterprise subsystems (including architecture, hardware, software, and network components). Develops and maintains a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database/library of all supporting documentation. Translates customer business requirements into systems engineering designs, and once validated, proceed to design and implementation phases. Maintains and gains knowledge and competency in related Microsoft technologies. May act as Project Leader for special enterprise-systems-related assignments, including those given with direction from Administrator III or the PMO organization. Other duties may be assigned. Education and/or Experience: Required Bachelor's degree in computer or information technology and two years experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Education and/or Experience- Preferred Bachelor's degree in computer or information technology and five years' experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Essential Job Knowledge: Experience with Infrastructure related concepts such as servers, network, storage area networks, backups and datacenter management. Moderate understanding of networking, ip addressing and TCP/IP. Moderate understanding of Windows Server 2003/2008/2008 R2/2012, and VMware operating systems and their tuning and configuration.
