Knowledge of RESTful API, Java, Oracle would be good. Responsible for measuring the performance in support of new releases and initiatives with the focus on developing tests to perform complex load characterizations, stability tests and scalability tests. This includes data collection activities and ability to analyze results to identify bottlenecks. Must demonstrate the ability to understand system architectures, pinpoint problem areas, and contribute to the development of test strategies and results documentation. In addition, this person will provide assistance in ongoing efforts to enhance our test framework and simplify data collection and visibility. Responsibilities: • Design and implement overhead, scalability, stability, and stress tests using industry standard tools and custom developed software written in Java • Collection and analysis of system resources such as CPU, Memory and JVM usage from the application servers and test data based on variety monitoring tools like NewRelic and perfmon. • Compilation of performance data (httpd, ws connections, db connections) from application server data collection script files. Graphical rendering. • Make contributions to and advocate for performance testing needs in a fast moving agile scrum environment • Provide accurate scoping, clear strategies, and milestones for performance tests • Communicate status, risks to test complete dates, and offer mitigation strategies to ensure on-time delivery of all committed projects to cross functional teams • Develop test strategies and technical results documentation Required Skills/Experience: • 5+ years of benchmark testing, performance analysis using industry standard benchmarks • Experience with agile software practices and managing work across more than one project • BS Software Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience • Ability to analyze and interpret technical data • Ability to identify and resolve system bottlenecks • Ability to identify potential limitations in software architectures • Understanding of performance monitoring counters such as throughput, latency, memory and CPU utilization • Working knowledge of C, C++ and Java • Familiarity with Intellij IDE, Git, Gradle and/or Sonar • Familiarity with application performance monitoring and instrument tools such as AQTime for C/C++ and NewRelic for Java • Familiar with automation testing tools such as TESTNG and Selenium • Familiarity with software deployment process and tools such as Jenkins • Strong knowledge of load generation /measurement software JMeter • Ability to write clear and concise technical documents Nice to Have: • Working knowledge on Oracle 12c database and related technologies such as PDBs/Coherence • Good understanding of complex enterprise software architecture such as the transaction flow between multilayer components • Be able to performance test different application components to pinpoint/identify the where performance bottlenecks are Thanks & Regards, Max | Recruiter | V.L.S Systems Inc.
