*Job Title : Oracle DBALocation : Richmond, VA(Need Local)Duration : 6+Months Contract* *Looking for Green Card Holders and US Citizens* *SUMMARY:* looking for one contract DBA with skills in both Oracle and SQL Server that has extensive knowledge and experience with either SharePlex or GoldenGate for data replication. Install, upgrade, maintain and resolve database performance and capacity issues, and replication and other distributed data issues for the multiple database environments and platforms *JOB FUNCTIONS:* Key responsibilities which take no less than 10% of overall job time Maintain databases; install patches or fixes to databases as needed, and install ad hoc updates. Monitor system performance: script triggers to ensure uninterrupted service to our customers; resolve performance issues immediately. Perform data back-up procedures daily; plan for and implement recovery procedures. Develop, implement, administer, and maintain policies and procedures for ensuring the security and integrity of the various company databases. Knowledge of and adherence to PCI compliance requirements. Conduct SQL monitoring. Manage and perform database changes: plan and build database instances and objects; work collaboratively with development and project teams. Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure problems. Serve as technical consultant to application support staff and project teams. Research, evaluate and recommend database support tools. Update, develop and maintain operational support procedures for infrastructure components. Assist in capacity planning of database servers. Stay up-to-date on technical support tools for databases. Act as a resource to less experienced Associates.
