Exposure to following technical specifications with 5-8 years’ experience: WMS running on an Linux enterprise server, with an Oracle database; Development in C and Oracle Pro*C embedded SQL, PL/SQL stored packages, procedures, functions and triggers; Oracle SQL*Plus scripts with DDL/DML commands. Knowledge about background processes which communicate via system V IPC mechanisms (message queues, shared memory, signals); interfaces via TCP/IP socket; IBM MQSeries interfaces Exposure to migration from UNIX to Linux platform *Other skills required - * Excellent analytical, oral and written communication skills - Strong communication and facilitation skills with offshore team. Understands IT methods and applies them to projects/complex problems. Provides input on long-term requirements for the various DC applications (RGTI WMS, as well as variety of in-house developed applications). Manages the development of defined requirements throughout the Software Development Life Cycle. Maintain and documents appropriate technical, detail design, and unit test plan documents for any work performed. Analyzes business and functional requirements and transform them into high quality, creative solutions and / or functioning code. Analyze business requirements and technical platforms and design creative solutions that minimize business functionality and minimize IT complexity and development overhead. Ensures that quality is designed into the solution from requirements thru deployment. Research and analyze technical solutions in partnership with user community and other IT teams Must be a strong team player with the demonstrated ability to focus on and drive toward team’s goals while navigating through sometimes competing agendas. Requires strength in articulating technical issues to diverse audiences, both internally and externally in business terms; negotiating and influencing others to build consensus and collaborating with team members to reach solutions. Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with IT professionals and business partners at all levels of the organization. Analyzes DC system environments and recommend improvements to systems or processes. Viewed as technical subject area expert for DC applications by peers in IT and non-IT business partners. Assist in software releases and communication. Manage version control and environment build out of DC application software.
