*Sr. Dev Ops Engineer* *Summary:* The DevOps engineer collaborates with development, QA and Infrastructure teams to ensure that production software produced by/for HCTM meets the requirements of manageability, scalability and reliability before entering production. The DevOps engineer is responsible for deploying the software to QA and production. Once the software is deployed in production the engineer is responsible for updates, initial troubleshooting, and maintenance of the application in the production environment. *Responsibilities *(describe primary tasks, in order, by percentage of time spent performing each task): 1. Work with internal development, release, QA and IT organizations, to enable deployment of software build artifacts on the QA and production systems 2. Manage and maintain build delivery method for continuous integration using build management tools 3. Help develop performance testing infrastructure for evaluating future software releases 4. Work with internal operations teams to ensure the uptime of the deployed software and databases to increase the availability, reliability and troubleshooting of the applications deployed in testing and production environments (including after office hours if required) 5. Proactively take initiatives to improve the deployment procedures (as well as deployment automation) and document the necessary guidelines for the cross functional teams involved in the software platform development, testing and operations 6. Produce, run and maintain application software monitoring in production providing trending and analysis. You will be expected to fulfill the following requirements: a) implement and act in accordance with the organization’s information security policies b) protect from unauthorized access, disclosure, modification or destruction all information assets that fall within your range of responsibilities c) execute all security processes and activities which correspond to your job related functions d) report any actual or potential breaches in security as well as all other security risks to the organization *Knowledge and Skills:* 1. 7+ years experience managing or developing information processing systems including implementing and supporting open source enterprise Java based middleware stacks 2. Experience with application servers (Glassfish, JBoss) 3. Experience with Java 7, 8, Ruby, Bash, J2EE, Puppet, Chef, Splunk, Nagios 4. Strong experience with software configuration management systems and/or source code version control systems, Subversion (SVN) experience needed 5. Experience working with versioning control systems (SVN), Continuous Integration Servers (Jenkins), Artifact Repositories (Nexus) 6. Excellent understanding of SOA architecture, Web Services, ESB, n-tier applications 7. Experience with traditional relational databases – Oracle 8. Experience in shell/system scripting: bash, Perl 9. Working knowledge of system configuration management tools (Puppet) and Application monitoring tools (Hyperic, Splunk) 10. Good knowledge of virtualization, IAAS, PAAS solutions and networking concepts 11.
