*Position : SQL Developer * *Location : Dallas, TX Duration : 6+ Months Phone then Face to Face EAD/GC/Citizens only * *Job Summary:* Our client is looking for a Sr. BI/SQL Developer with 5 or more years of experience to work in a team oriented, fast-paced environment. You will be involved in implementing mission-critical solutions which consist of 70% coding functional enhancements and 30% support maintenance of existing solutions. *Job Duties:* - Provide database development support to the Business Intelligence team using the MS BI stack including SSRS, SSAS, SSIS, T-SQL/stored procedures - Analyze and improve existing dashboards and build new reports using both SQL Server database and Analysis Server database as the source - Maintain and update relational, dimensional databases and cubes - Responsible for the improvement and maintenance of the SSIS packages to include rollout and upgrades - Prefer experience moving data from many different sources including AS400 DB2 - Support the SQL Server databases and ensure their performance, availability and security - Ensure availability and performance of the SQL databases that support the system - Proactively monitor the database systems to ensure minimum downtime - Work with the Systems and Network team to maintain the databases - Responsible for troubleshooting and problem solving of issues related to the SQL Server databases - Write and code logical and physical database descriptions and specify identifiers of database to management system or direct others in coding descriptions - Work from high level requirements through detailed specifications, prototype, software deployment and administration - Develop solutions using best practices *Job Qualifications/Skills:* - Minimum 5 years of experience with SQL Server 2008/2008R2/2012 - Minimum 5 years of experience working with BIDS, MS SQL Server Data Tools, SQL Management Studio and Visual Studio - Knowledge of the Windows Server O/S and AD authentication - Knowledge of storage architecture as it relates to physical DB design - Knowledge of SQL Integration Services and other application features - Ability to write & tune SQL scripts for data retrieval - Experience analyzing and developing advanced SSIS packages - Adaptability to changing priorities and flexible workloads - Must have strong data profiling and troubleshooting skills - Must be able to interact with all levels of Technical staff and support staff - The ability to work with minimum supervision to deliver the tasks outlined above - Ability to identify issues and clearly communicate requirements and resolution to both technical and non-technical team members *Thanks & Regards* *Avneesh Tyagi* *Technical Recruiter* *VSG Business Solutions* *221 Cornwell Dr, Bear, DE 19701* *Contact No: 302-261-3207 Ext 101* *Email:[email protected] <email%[email protected]>* *Gtalk : avneesh.vsgbusinesssolution.com <http://avneesh.vsgbusinesssolution.com>* -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "it req" group.
