Please include your employer details as well. *Job Title:* *Business Analyst with infrastructure and application architecture* *Project Location:* *Milwaukee, WI* *Duration:* *6+ Months Contract * *MOI * *: * *Telephonic + F2F/skype* *Job Description and Requirements* This position is responsible for coordinating and completing the design of new IT solutions to support client’s business needs. This position requires broad infrastructure and application knowledge – an ideal candidate will be able to collaborate across architecture, applications, infrastructure, and security domains to design an ideal solution. This role is highly collaborative – coordination with business stakeholders, IT engineers, and project manager is critical to the success of this position. It is the responsibility of this position to vet customer requirements, design technical specifications, estimate technology costs, and use metrics to measure the success of the project designs that are happening concurrently. *Functional Expertise* § *Responsible for leading the technical specification creation and subsequent design of new IT solutions. Oversees the creation of the architectural designs, bills of material, and cost estimating – coordinating across a spectrum of technical subject matter experts for the sub-components of the IT solution.* § *Responsible for eliciting business, functional, and technical requirements from business and technology stakeholders.* § Develop business process mappings and use cases to aid in the design of an IT solution. § Responsible for the maintenance and development of the processes and procedures utilized to deliver a solution design, including the intake process, prioritization, design deliverable documentation, and reports. § Operates as an integrator – obtains results from subject matter experts without direct supervisory authority. Must be comfortable leading discussions with participants from multiple IT and business groups while balancing divergent stakeholder perspectives. § Instills a sense of urgency in driving assignments to completion. Monitors progress of self and others and redirects efforts when goals are not being met. § Identifies and cultivates relationships with key stakeholders representing a broad range of functions and levels; uses informal networks to get things done; builds strong external networks with people in the industry or profession. § Applies self-management techniques to include: acting with integrity, demonstrating adaptability, setting personal development goals, and working efficiently § Contributes to organizational performance through timely implementation of projects that produce business results. Maximizes business/unit/group financial results through personal accomplishments and influence. Knows and uses business metrics relevant to area of responsibility and understands the association to the next level of management. § Seeks frank customer feedback and works to surface issues via ongoing personal contact. Incorporates this customer feedback into a cycle of continuous improvement. § Maintains familiarity with Rockwell Automation information security policies, baselines and procedures. Conducts all tasks in accordance with the requirement to comply with security controls. § Typically requires 8+ years of related experience. Broad based background in IT infrastructure and application technology with infrastructure design experience. § Experience with both is highly desirable, especially in the following domains: UNIX, Linux, server virtualization, storage, network, firewalls, and databases. § Experience with apply cloud-based solutions to business projects is desirable. § PMP or similar program management experience is desirable.
