*Position : Hadoop (Big Data) Architect * *Duration: 3+ Months Location : Johns Creek, GA * *Phone then Face to Face* * Description* Our client in Johns Creek, GA is seeking Big Data Architect for an exciting opportunity. As a Big Data Architect you must have technical leadership and skills in creating, leading and implementing Big-data solutions using Hadoop technology stack and other NoSQL databases. *Responsible:* • Deep database development in both traditional (RDBMS) and latest (Big-Data) architectures • Reporting and visualization of Big-Data • Expert-level experience in Java/J2EE • Logical and physical data modeling • Creating new ideas for Information Management such as NoSQL, File-based databases, Schema-on-write models to increase time-to-market of new solutions • Geographic scaling and stability for all aspects *Requirement: * • Good working knowledge of Big Data technologies such as Hadoop and Cassandra • Current with the emerging trends in the data management and analytics space with deep understanding of how to leverage information assets to deliver business value • Responsibilities also include training and leading the team and projects from a technical aspect, as well as help with the interviewing and technical evaluation of new candidates that may join the team • Delivers results by leading strategic direction for implementing enterprise information and data management architecture. Effectively plans, organizes, prioritizes staff assignments, and continually analyzes workload • Drives and manages change. Sets priorities based on thorough understanding of business initiatives; monitors progress of assignments, redistributing resources where appropriate. • Ability to build and establish solid working relationships by providing timely accurate and high quality information to peers, upper management and/or customers • Advises Director Information and Data Management Architecture on strategic plans and improvements to systems and processes. Partners with business units to develop and execute business vision and strategic plan • Collaborates with appropriate stakeholders to identify, recommend, and implement improvements to systems and processes.
