This engineering role requires a combination of disciplines to provide high quality product and software lifecycle development for a medical device information data management platform. This role will may involve project lead responsibilities. *Position Responsibilities: * · Interface with Department Managers, Software Development Leads, Software Test Leads, QA Leads, to create and manage software development projects. · Create SDLC deliverables in compliance with Design Controls. · At a top level, operate independently to create software development plans. · Assist Software Development Leads and Software Test Leads in creating master plans, plan templates, and project-specific plans for various development and verification activities and deliverables. · Assist Systems and Requirements Leads in creating and managing Design Input documentation and reports. · Assist the department managers in creating department procedures. · Track and report project progress and risks. · *Administer at a department level software tool configurations for Seapine TestTrack, IBM RequisitePro, and PTC Integrity * · Assist the Integrity migration Project Manager in setting up Integrity, migrating existing documents and ReqPro databases into Integrity, and validating Integrity. · Maintain and produce Design Control and software lifecycle procedures and plans to conform to department and company policies and procedures. *Basic Qualifications: * · BSEE, BSCS or comparable industry experience. · At least 3 years’ experience with software development lifecycle and/or engineering development practices in mature, regulated product development environments (e.g., medical systems, aerospace systems) · Experience with software configuration management tools. · Highly competent with MS Word. Capable with Excel. · Ability to work in a team environment. · Excellent verbal and written communications skills. *Desired/ Preferred Qualifications: * · Experience with medical product development, design control process and quality system or regulatory environments (FDA/QSR, ISO 13485, standards and the basic Medical Device Directives requirements). · Programming/interfacing of medical devices in application use. · Project planning and scheduling. · Seapine TestTrack experience. · Rational RequisitePro experience. · PTC Integrity experience · Understanding of software development and testing practices · Good meeting management techniques and skills.
