The duties would also include responsibilities for Lifecycle management to make sure the environments are operating at optimal efficiency. They must possess strong troubleshooting skills, experience in the virtualization, IPAM automation, IPV6, and load balancing of these environments in addition to having prior disaster recovery experience. · Consult with stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical requirements. · Consult with technical peers throughout the organization to drive common approaches to diverse requirements for routing, switching, network segmentation, network security, etc. · Create WAN, data center, LAN, and IP secure architectures and designs, including architectural standards and principles, general design documentation, bills of material, and configurations as appropriate. · Define/refine common standards for security zoning and network segmentation; network boundary security controls; IPv6; IP addressing (including alignment with security zones, VLANs, etc.); IP address management (including DHCP, DNS, NTP); IP address management and IPAM automation; and appropriate use of static routes. · Lead/execute project delivery for implementation of new architectural / design standards; manage self and (as required) others’ delivery of work against budget and timeline requirements. · Create as-built documentation. · Conduct and facilitate transition to operations, providing subject matter expertise in an educational manner. · Collaborate with peers to improve the overall team delivery of network engineering services. · Follow the processes and methodologies for delivering projects. · Work closely with all projects stakeholder groups to coordinate the project milestones. · Understand and translate cross-team dependencies into actionable plans. · Proactively identify and manage risks. Plan for an effective risk mitigation. · Track projects against approved budgets and report on forecasts and variances. · Support the iterative business planning process. · Resolve issues in a timely manner.
