*Position : Network Infrastructure Solutions Engineer * *Location : New York, NY * *Duration : 12+ Months Phone/Skype USC/GC Only* *Job Description* • The Solutions Engineer is responsible for scoping out new projects, implementing infrastructure solutions, and keeping projects on track. • To scope out new projects, the engineer will need to be able to translate business requirements to functional and technical specifications. • These specifications will be used to architect the overall infrastructure solution. Projects will range from business applications to infrastructure technologies. • This person will also be required to provide project management oversight during the solution implementation as well as design and execute a comprehensive communication plan. *A successful candidate should have strong experience in implementing and managing both large scale as well as concurrent infrastructure projects,* a solid understanding of infrastructure components, as well as a good understanding of development technologies. This person will also need to be able to perform ROI analysis and prepare budgets. Strong communication and interpersonal skills is a must. Candidates should be highly motivated, able to work independently and in a team environment, and be able to adapt to changing business priorities. *Job Responsibilities* • Implement infrastructure solutions • Translate business requirements into functional and technical specification • Responsible for project management and communications • Work with Infrastructure Design team to develop standard technology solutions based upon functional and technical specification • Perform financial ROI analysis and develop project budgets as required • Deliver projects on-time and under budget • Prepare and present both technical and management oriented presentations • Ensure effective change management, project impact assessment, release control and documentation *Job Requirement* This position will require the candidate to perform maintenance as well as respond to critical situations after normal business hours or during weekends (Saturday or Sunday). A mobile phone for use in critical situations will also be necessary and is expected to be reachable upon being called.
