I will appreciate your response at the earliest, as the managers tend to move fast! *Job Details:* *SOW Title: Project Manager * *Location: Albany, NY* *Duration: 24+months contract* *Project Scope- duties of position* Governor initiatives as outlined in the 2015 State of the State Address that involve agencies in the Public Safety Cluster; including but not limited to the STORM initiative Manage the projects described above and possibly others based on Public Safety priorities and resource availability. The Project Manager will work directly with ITS and business partner senior executive and other staff in the implementation of multi-faceted, high visibility projects. *Daily Tasks will include but are not limited to the following:* - Defining and managing project scope, schedule and budget for IT projects. - Facilitating successful completion of IT projects by working across project team boundaries in a matrix environment to secure resources, resolve issues and set project timeline and milestones. - Identifying project risks and dependencies and providing mitigation strategies to ensure project success. - Communicating project status to team members as well as management, including project status presentations to executives within the ITS Public Safety Cluster as well as with Public Safety Business Partners. *PART A: The ONE MANDATORY REQUIREMENT:* *Expert Level * *You must be an Expert Project Manager with documented employment experience of 7+ years (84+ months).* - You must have experience overseeing projects comprised of multiple deliverables; Delegating and coordinating of tasks; Project status, meetings, scope changes, issues. - You must be able to provide leadership of large teams and/or extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field. *PART B: Requested Desirable Qualifications: *The numbered qualifications below are not mandatory, but candidates should meet or exceed in duration and skill set target asked for, at least 3 of numbers 1 through 5. 1. Bachelor level or higher degree with concentration in Information Technology or Project Management, or a national certification in Project Management. 2. Minimum 84 months of experience in Project Management of complex, cross-functional, multi-organization, multi-year information technology projects with a variety of key project stakeholders. Experience should include a variety of application development, vendor software (COTS) implementation and/or technology infrastructure projects. 3. Minimum 84 months of experience implementing projects utilizing industry standard Project Management Life Cycle and System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodologies, including: iterative project planning, risk mitigation strategies and use of Waterfall and Agile methods. 4. Minimum 60 months of experience in project status reporting to all levels of stakeholders, executives, management and project resource teams while demonstrating strong presentation, written and verbal skills. 5. Minimum 60 months of practical experience in effective team building, including working with diverse teams which may include vendors, software architects, developers, analysts and testers with the ability to work and communicate across project team boundaries and management of project teams with multiple resources in a matrix organization.
