We had two people who interviewed but didn’t pass due to the communication
skills, so this is important here.
- *As of now role is open to phone/skype interviews*
- *Healthcare experience is must*
- *Facets experience is must*
*Job Overview:*
- Team is in charge of CF actuarial systems
- AS –provide analytical data to finance department, support monthly,
quarterly filings and analysis.
- Extensive AD HOC reporting.
- Position is to increase bench strength due to Affordable care act,
need support in data analysis in future price increases, changes in laws,
help with all the extra work that has come due to ACA
- Need someone with very good analytical skills to produce financial AD
HOC reporting
- Sql server environment. Write complex sql scripts, apply specific
business rules, dealing with internal customers- finance department at CF.
- Ensure that all reports ties to all controls that CF is given on a
monthly basis when they collect the data.
- Data analysis, adhoc queries, some aspect of development- changing
existing process that CF has(sql processes) some SSIS work- modify SSIS
packages(nice to have not required)
- A lot of work in Excel – macros and VBA coding
- Healthcare- 5 years of experience required (claims) optimal candidate
would have finance experience in the healthcare industry.
- Claims and enrollment would be helpful in healthcare
- Need someone to hit the ground running
- Facets 4.x and/or NASCO knowledge desired. To be able to understand
how NASCO handles its business would be helpful
- Need someone with broad experience, BA, programmer analyst, Data
analyst are all good experiences to have on a candidates resume.
- Need basic understanding of programming- simple programming, very
basic. Sql server scripting and a little bit of VBA coding in a office
context. No real application development needed
- Very conversed in Excel, pivots, V-lookups, macros, help load data
- Biggest reports – 100/1000s of rows kind of range. Not huge amount of
data to deal with. Data they are pulling from about millions of records.
Needs to understand concept of efficiency, how to optimize doing data pulls
- Top 3 skills:
1. SQL server conversant, query language and familiarity to create
and update tables, not a dba but someone able to create a lookup
table and
add indexes to that table.
2. Be able to do update scripts with the given parameters. Can’t
train on SQL. At least 5 years with SQL.
3. Need someone who enjoys data analysis, and be able to show why
data doesn’t balance. Able to learn business rules CF is subject to on
their own. Healthcare.
- Contract- Dec 2015, will most likely be extended through the following
year. For the right person, it’s possible to do temp to perm. Right now
mainly looking for a contractor.
- 100% on site.
*Job Requirements*
- Minimum 5 years Healthcare Insurance experience.
- *Facets 4.x and/or NASCO knowledge must*.
- *Excel Advanced user*
- Ability to present findings and/or train others on use of data.
- Need 5 or more years’ analytical experience
- *Strong SQL skills for ad hoc queries,* stored procedures and
programming scripts
- *SSIS experience preferred*
