* Position : SharePoint Admin * *Location : Chicago IL * *Duration : 6-12 Months Phone then Face to Face GC USC or EAD.* *Job description:* · The responsibilities of the O365 SharePoint administrator at the client breakdown into two categories: Enterprise level responsibilities and Departmental level responsibilities. · At the departmental level, the SharePoint administrator is responsible for working with staff from various departments to create and configure O365 team sites to meet the department or project needs. · The SharePoint Administrator is also responsible for site permission management until the site owner has been trained to perform it. · The SharePoint administrator is responsible for providing support of the Office Web Applications that are not related to Exchange Online (One Drive, Sites, Tasks, Power BI, Delve, Video, Word Online, Excel Online, PowerPoint Online, OneNote Online, and Sway) as well as Access Online and InfoPath Online and the site portion of Office Groups. · SharePoint administrator is also expected to be able to support the parts of the Office Client Applications (the desktop versions of Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, InfoPath, Access, and Visio) that relate to SharePoint. · Additionally, the SharePoint Administrator may also be expected to answer questions about Microsoft Surface tablets and web browsers. *Job Responsibility* · Maintaining the information architecture of the web application and the security rules inherent in it. For example, sites that are used only by a department are grouped under the /departments path, while sites that are managed by a department but are accessible to all client staff are grouped under the /deptsites (Public Sites) path. Sites for projects go in /teams/projects. · Establishing user management training for site owners and transitioning site user management to the site owners. · Establishing other site owner training as needed. · Reading O365 Service Announcements and assessing the impact of corresponding changes. · Identifying the need for 3rd party tools, then evaluating and implementing them or creating home grown tools that apply across many or all sites.
