Position : Business Analyst With Investment Banking Location : New York City Duration : 6+ months Phone or F2F *Must Have Investment Banking Experience* Business analyst responsibilities would include re-engineering, implementing control/risk management improvements, as well as partnering with the business and IT to ensure that position reporting to various exchanges and industry related self-regulatory organizations is complete and accurate. This role requires an energetic individual that can liaise with various groups supporting our regional businesses to analyze our regulatory reporting and monitoring control infrastructure, covering Futures Position Limit Monitoring. The role will focus on understand the regulatory rules, design of the control framework and operational/technical processes to oversee daily monitoring functions & exception handling. This is accomplished by working with the several business groups supporting numerous divisions at the firm, operations groups, compliance, legal, and technology managers on various production responsibilities to improve and maintain the quality of regulatory reporting and monitoring functions. *This role:* − Acts as an intermediary between the business community and the technical community. − Works with IT project teams and business clients to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation. − Build conceptual designs (using appropriate tools and models) from which application and solutions are developed. − Is an active participant in all phases of the project lifecycle and will be required to work closely with a variety of internal and external business partners to ensure that all business requirements are understood, documented, and met. − Works with Data provider team and has experience in researching data issues providing solution to the issues − Extensive data analysis skills and understanding data flow end to end, and experience in SQL queries, data profiling * Key Deliverables* − Documentation of operational processes or technical specifications. − Monitoring controls and performing analysis of exceptions. − Developing recommendations for process control improvements. − Developing reconciliation tests and process control improvements. − Proactively assisting the business, operations, compliance, and IT management in understanding the impact of business initiatives on regulatory reporting. − Coordinating the testing and implementation of rule changes that impact reporting processes. − Analyzing the distributed workflow front to back to identify the root cause of report inconsistencies. − Conducting deep dive reviews into existing reporting rules and associated infrastructure. − Writing functional specifications for technology for changes to reporting processes. − Documenting test scripts and assisting in User Acceptance Testing check outs for rule/system changes that impact reporting processes. − Coordinating the remediation of reporting anomalies. − Analysis of regulatory inquiries related to position data. − Recommending infrastructure improvements. *Qualifications:* - Solid understanding of the Listed Derivatives (Futures and Options). - Experience in project management and securities processing (5-8 years of industry or related experience). - Train staff to understand complex workflows. - Strong teamwork skills to work with other areas of the organization (Operations, Compliance, Technology, Legal) to understand regulations, trade flows, Operational processes, etc. - Developing and tracking of project plans. - Strong analytical and organizational skills. - Strong excel data analysis skills; MS Access or basic SQL skills a plus. - Strong ability to partner with managers to understand complex regulatory reporting requirements. - Preparing scope and user requirements documents. - Preparing test scripts. - Coordinating user acceptance testing. *Thanks & Regards* *Avneesh Tyagi* *Technical Recruiter* *Sage Group Consulting Inc* *Direct: 732-898-1763* *Phone : 732.767.0010 x 705* *Email: <email%[email protected]>[email protected] <[email protected]>* *Email:[email protected]* <email%[email protected]> *Gtalk : avneesh.vsgbusinesssolution <http://avneesh.vsgbusinesssolution.com>* *Y/M : tyagi.avneesh* - *www.linkedin.com/pub/avneesh-tyagi/19/310/331/* <http://www.linkedin.com/pub/avneesh-tyagi/19/310/331/> -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "it req" group.
