Outstanding communication skills are essential for this position**. Face to face interview will be required so candidate must be able to get to New York City easily. Can pay up to $65/hr. * *Applications Engineer* *Position description* As an Applications Engineer work in small teams in a highly collaborative way, use the latest technologies and enjoy seeing the direct impact from your work. You will be exposed to a large variety of tasks in a highly communicative environment, in several activities described hereunder. *Key activities & responsibilities :: * Work within engineering team to provision, optimize and troubleshoot the company’s SaaS offering. In this context, the key activities of the Applications Engineer are (typical and non‑exhaustive):- *Troubleshooting (Level 2 application support)* Troubleshoot application or infrastructure issues Provide feedback / guideline to development (Level 3) teams to increase robustness and troubleshooting capabilities Identify and redirect issues to appropriate teams Communicate and follow up on application bugs Document and collaborate to the knowledge base Train Level 1 engineers on problem resolution Develop and maintain monitoring tools *Desired skills* Exceptional problem-solving skills *Excellent communicator* A minimum of 6 years’ experience in Application development on various environments, specifically - .Net - SQL Server - Web : html5 / javascript - Scripting knowledge (Powershell) - Windows Additional experience in the following is *a plus*; - C# - WCF - Ruby / Java - Oracle / MongoDB /Mysql / graph database - Linux - Cloud Amazon Passionate about technology and helping your clients Ability to self-manage, be autonomous, well organized and structured. Able to process complex information and present it clearly and simply Be able to cope with pressure and demonstrate a reasonable level of flexibility/adaptability.
