 Dependent Failure Analysis

 Single Element Fault Analysis

 Function Interface Analysis

 Software safety requirements derivation

 Software FTA

 Software DFMEA

 Software verification and validation planning

 Development of Safety case

 Experience deriving and implementing software safety requirements

 Familiarity with the star C6



Role: Embedded Engineer

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration:6+ months


  CAN Requirements Engineer

Real-time embedded SW Engineering development for Brake Controls ECU for
FCA projects.

Tasks:

1. Define and document vehicle integation requirements for the brake module
per discussions with FCA and FOA. The requirements are listed in the
customer-provided documents. The task is to clarify, rewrite, and
communicate to the developers.

2. Provide the software developer with information and specifications per
the project schedule decided by the Software Project Manager. Monitor the
progress of implementation.

3. The work will be defined in the Continental open issues system [SAFE].
SAFEs will document the exact the work items and products necessary to
complete the task.

Key technologies:

1.      Minimum 3 years experience in C coding for real-time embedded
control systems

2.      Experience with MKS or equivalent version and configuration
management system

3.      Experience with CANalyzer and other Vector CAN tools

4.      Knowledge of standard electronics test equipment (Oscilliscope,
Multimeter, Power supply)


Role: Embedded Engineer

 CAN Test Engineer

*Core Responsibilities:*

-        Schedule the SW test activities and consolidate them with the SW
Project Schedule

-        Perform SW tests according to SW test specification to support
software release

-        Document test results, analyze them and report open issues to the
team

-        Work with internal and external suppliers/customers to elicit test
requirements and manage deliverables

-        Participate in Engineering and Product Development meetings.

-        Provide support to Vehicle application teams for identification of
root cause for issues and corrective action plans.

-        Prepare and present responses to action items.


*Basic Qualifications:*

-        Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science

-        3 years of embedded software job experience is a must

-        Proficiency with CANalyzer, CAPL scripting and other Vector CAN
tools is a must

-        Excellent communication skills, must be able to work with a number
of people performing various roles in the software development lifecycle

-        Self motivated, able to handle complex situations with internal
and external customers professionally, sensitive to cultural diversity


*Preferred Qualifications*

-        3 years experience as a software test engineer for an automotive
embedded software product

-        Familiarity working with Software Quality standards such as CMMI
and/or SPiCE is a definite plus
