I will appreciate your response at the earliest, as the managers tend to move fast! *Job Title* *Build Engineer Architect* *Project Location* *Weehawken, NJ* *Duration* *12+ months /Contract* *Must have Experience with Java / Spring Framework Design and Architecture* The primary responsibilities of this role are: - Help design and implement a continuous integration, continuous delivery and continuous deployment infrastructure - Manage and perform software releases and infrastructure changes - Contribute to defining team standards including code standards, toolsets and quality. - Take part in code reviews on all other members of the team and review for standards and quality - Communicate effectively with other members of the Advisory IT community and participate in department initiatives - Make key technical decisions in partnership with the team and influence the overall technical design - Ownership of application documentation *Technical Requirements* *Essential all or a combination of * - Experience in using version control tools like Subversion (SVN), GIT etc. - Experience with End to End automated build and deployment tools *(TeamCity)* - *Must have Good Knowledge with Spring Framework!!!!* - Experience with continuous database migration with *Luquibase or Flyway* - Expertise in deploying code through web/application servers *(Maven/Nexus)* - Experience with Configuration management tools such as *Chef/Puppet* - Linux scripting - Experience in Testing Tools such as* Cucumber(or similar)* *Important* - Excellent Python Development skills - Excellent database development skills (Oracle preferred) - Good web design & development skills (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) - Understanding of software development principles and exposure to the full software development lifecycle *Desirable* - Test Driven Development experience - Advanced knowledge of Excel, VB and Excel macros - Appreciation of multiple programming paradigms – procedural, OO, functional *Analytic Skills* - Analytical mindset that picks up new technologies and business concepts quickly. - Strong problem solving skills is the key requirement for this role. - You must have an interest in the whole stack – from database query to javascript! - Personal initiative & a 'can-do' attitude – enthusiasm. Is self-motivated. - Excellent written & verbal communication skills. You need to be a strong communicator – able to express your ideas to a team and command respect from other technologists and business users. - Experience of working to tight timelines, whilst still keeping calm and positive.
