High School Diploma/GED and 18 years of systems engineering experience will satisfy education and experience requirements. • 9 years of experience working as a Storage Management Engineer. • Extensive enterprise storage, data replication, and disaster recovery planning experience. • Ability to work independently or under only general direction. • Ability to conduct system audit reviews and perform maintenance functions as required ensuring system health. Preferred Qualifications: Candidates with these skills will be given preferential consideration. • Strong system administration experience and familiarity with one or more of the following: Oracle Virtual Storage Managers (VSM), Disk Library for Mainframe (DLM), Host Software Component/Storage Management Component (HSC/SMC), Computer Associates CA-1 Tape Management System, or catalog solution software experience. • Data center migration and project management experience. • Strong requirements planning and project implementation skills and the ability to work with internal technical staff and outside contractors to deliver results. • A broad understanding in systems, networking and storage administration • Proven ability to successfully plan, develop and execute technology solutions. • Experience implementing best-practice processes and procedures. • Strong experience and ability to: (1) analyze functional business applications and design specifications for functional activities; (2) develop and perform hardware test/debug functions; (3) refine computer software to produce the required product; and (4) identify, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware and software issues with mainframe virtual tape storage and its supporting IT infrastructure. Preferred Certifications and Vendor-Specific Trainings Candidates with these certifications will be given preferential consideration. • EMC Storage Administration. • Oracle Storage Administration. • Prior SSA experience is a plus.
