Sebaiknya saat kita membuat account, kita juga membuat disket reset password Agar jika terjadi kasus seperti ini kita nggak kelabakan. Caranya buka Control Panel - User accounts - buka user yang kita mau buat disket reset passwordnya - Klik Prevent a "Forgotten Password" di sebelah kiri atas. Ini akan membuka wizard untuk membuat disket reset password. Masukkan disket ke floppy dan ikuti saja wizard-nya. Untuk menggunakan disket reset password saat login klik username kita - klik tanda tanya - Klik "Use Your Password Reset Disk" - ikuti saja intruksi selanjutnya. Kalau mau menghapus semua password booting saja dengan cd atau disket boot terus hapus file sam.exe dan sam.log dari Winnt\system32\config. Ini cuma berlaku untuk hardisk dengan file system FAT32.
