PROJECT MANAGER Role Competencies:
Understanding of Wholesale Banking and / or Retail Banking and / or Financial Environment. Passionate belief that Client satisfaction is the key measure of project success whilst being able to balance this commitment with the financial parameters of the project. Support Engagement Managers during the sales process to facilitate winning quality new business through: Accurately estimating project components, required timescales & costs. Engaging with the Client to demonstrate the value of Misys Project Management. Contributing to the production of quality client proposals. Manage projects, performing tasks in a timely manner, cognisant of project deadlines and Client expectations: Ensure consistency between the final approved client proposal, the Contract and the Project Initiation Document in terms of pricing/effort, timescales, deliverables, responsibilities, milestones and payment terms. Build, agree and communicate multi-phase, multi-tier, multi-party project plans with mixed discipline project teams comprised of Client personnel, 3rd Party personnel and Misys personnel. Hold Project P&L responsibility, managing, controlling and monitoring project progress against time and budget, redressing project slippage and reporting deviations in excess of tolerance. Ensure correct Client invoicing based upon the financial terms of the project. Ensure the correct software (including custom development) is delivered for a project and manage any operating system or base application software release / upgrade process during the lifecycle of a project. Instil a strong change control culture into the project lifecycle, implementing and controlling processes to manage change requests, agree requirements, accurately estimate additional project components, timescales and costs in time and materials, fixed price or share risk situations, and integrate into the overall project plan. Effectively escalate issues to the appropriate level within the Client's or the Misys organisation when necessary. Obtain Client Acceptance of the solution upon effective hand-over to Customer Support at project completion. Able to identify and capitalise on further sales opportunities. Able and willing to travel. Experience: Likely to have at least 6 years solid experience of Project Management with a successful track record of working in a variety of customer facing situations for either a Consultancy company or a Software and Services company providing solutions in a Wholesale Banking and / or Retail Banking and / or Financial Environment. Technical Skills Accredited practitioner in the methods and techniques of: PRINCE II as a Project Management methodology Microsoft Project as a Project Management Planning and Monitoring tool Microsoft Excel for Financial Reporting, Change Control and Miscellaneous Reports Microsoft Word for General Communications and Reporting Microsoft Outlook for Email Management and Processing Microsoft Powerpoint for internal/external presentations Target Account Selling for Planning Sales Campaigns Resource Booking for Resource Availability planning Tempo for Consultancy Time Recording and Billing Pearl for Service Proposals and Service Contracts KPIs: Client Referenceability. Projects delivered on time and within budget. Total Revenue. Total Net Profit achieved. Chargeable Utilisation Rate. Charge Out Rate. Debtors Days.
