Bisa dibuka dengan aplikasi yg gratis (Acrobat Reader kan gratis) 2. Acrobat Reader tersedia di banyak platform OS. Dunia ini tidak cuman Windows doang. Ada Linux, Solaris, IRIX, HP-UX, PalmOS, AIX, dll 3. Reader formatnya juga terbuka, jadi orang lain bisa bikin aplikasi PFD reader di OS yg tidak ada Acrobat Readernya, contoh SymbiOS, Linux-Maemo, etc
