Junior IT Officer 1 Candidate
(Based in Jakarta)
The World Population Foundation (WPF), a Dutch non-governmental organization,
is urgently seeking for ONE (1) candidate to work as a part-time Information
Technology Junior Officer (IT Junior Officer) to support and maintain daily
information and technology needs including website of the WPF.
I. ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND
Founded in 1987, WPF is aimed at improving reproductive health and ensuring
reproductive rights in developing countries. WPF has implemented projects in
Asia, Africa and Latin America. In 2005, WPF established a field office in
Jakarta, Indonesia in order to more effectively manage and expand its current
portfolio.
II. JOB DESCRIPTIONS
Within the framework of the WPF, the IT Junior Officer will report directly
to the Finance and Office Manager (FOM). The IT Junior Officer will work on a
part-time basis and have the following detailed tasks and duties:
1. Ensures effective functioning of hardware and software packages,
focusing on the achievement of the following results:
Performance of specific technical functions, including changing of hardware
electronic components (disks, memories, network wiring, power sources, etc) and
routine repairs and preventive maintenance.
Assistance in the installation of developed software and related upgrades.
Assistance in upgrading patch and anti-virus programs, spam, and malware on
timely basis.
Maintenance SQL Server 2005 for running well.
Monitoring of network traffic, usage and performance of network resources,
including printers on a frequent and regular basis.
Ensure timely maintenance, replacement and repair of equipment and tools
through service calls with technical service vendors.
2. Supports network administration, focusing on achievement of the
following results:
Assistance in troubleshooting PCs, network, and internet.
3. Provides administrative support, focusing on achievement of the
following results:
Set up shared digital filing system and agenda/calendar
Maintain regular back-up
Support in several events, including providing support to Staff with video
conferencing, teleconferencing arrangement, and presentation.
Support maintenance of portable equipment, e.g., floating laptops,
accessories to ensure efficient monitoring and proper use of the equipment.
4. Develop, maintenance, and update WPF Indonesia Website, focusing on
achievement of the following results:
Responsible for designing, creating, and updating web pages, including lay
out and graphical elements such as icon, banners, themes for channels,
animations, etc.
IT support on variety of projects.
5. Provide support and/or perform other duties as assigned and required.
III. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
Excellent knowledge and skills in computer hardware, software, internet,
network, and other IT related skills
Good knowledge and skills in developing, maintaining, and updating website
Education background in IT
Willing to work in flexible working time (1 3 times/week)
Good in English and Indonesian
Honest and good personality
Responsibility and the ability to be self-directed
Willingness to work hard
The salary range indication: Rp.150.000 250.000 per day (8 hours),
depending on the qualifications.
