Technical IT Specialist IBM System-i
Position Summary
Represents IBM to customers on all matters of hardware / software support and
associated services in assigned areas. He/She is required to participate in
IBM's 24 hour continuous support commitment to its customers. He/She is usually
based in a center, but may be required to undertake travel and nights away in
the delivery of on-site support and service. As a member of a team, he/she is
accountable for customer satisfaction with IT systems hardware / software
support in all aspects of technical support (solutioning, implementation and
maintenance).
Qualifications
- Minimum of Bachelor degree from a reputable university with engineering
background
- No more than 18 months of formal working experience
- Good knowledge in networking and OS Linux
- Have knowledge and strong technical skills of IBM system-i /AS400 IBM
Server is an advantage
- Understands and applies basic knowledge of information technology and
associated tools of their technical specialty to support attainment of team and
department objectives
- Demonstrates required proficiencies in technical skills
- Good analytical thinking and communication skill
